Partnership with Eurohorse
Oriental Equine Services (OES), the only agency in Belgium focusing on selling Belgian horses to China, is happy to announce its partnership with EuroHorse.
OES and EuroHorse will work together to look for horses in different categories for its Chinese customers: from potential Olympic champions to horses suitable for the training of unexperienced young riders.
In the world of show jumping, few names resonate as strongly as Axel and Jos Verlooy. This father-son duo from EuroHorse has become synonymous with success, dedication, and a passion for equestrian excellence. EuroHorse, based in Grobbendonk, Belgium, is a renowned equestrian training and trading stable founded by Axel Verlooy. The stable has earned a great reputation for producing top-quality horses and riders, and it continues to be a hub for talent development in the world of show jumping.
Axel Verlooy, the founder of EuroHorse, participated in the 1984 summer Olympics in Los Angeles, USA, as an individual rider and as part of the Belgium team.
He has dedicated his life to the pursuit of excellence in equestrian sports. Jos Verlooy, Axel’s son, inherited his father's passion for horses and quickly emerged as a rising star in the world of show jumping.
Here are a few examples of successful horses that emerged from the EuroHorse training center:
- Emerald competed at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and, after his retirement in 2019, currently is one of the absolute top favourites among breeders.
- Don VHP Z became vice European Champion and winner of several Grand Prix’s.
- Igor is the son of Emerald, who won Team Gold and Individual Bronze at the European Championships in Rotterdam.
- Caracas has won the five-star Grand Prix’s of Rotterdam and Ascona and was part of the FEI Nations Cup Final in Barcelona.
- Nixon is a young promising BWP horse, the ideal championship horse with his great mentality. Since November 2021 Jos Verlooy rides Nixon in competitions, and this summer he hopes to go to the Paris 2024 Olympics with Nixon.
EuroHorse’s list of honours is no coincidence, and another proof that breeding and professional training are inseparably linked. EuroHorse's success is not confined to the competition circuit alone.
The stable has gained a solid reputation for its training program, producing top-notch horses that go on to achieve success in various disciplines.
